- Can Shopify send LINE messages to customers automatically?
- Yes, but customers must first add your LINE Official Account. Only when a customer adds the account or sends a message does the system get the LINE account ID needed to message them; the customer then enters their order details to link, and messages can reach them. Customers can unlink at any time.
- Can we still use LINE Notify?
- No. LINE Notify ended service on March 31, 2025. Messages now go through the LINE Official Account Messaging API, and we help with enabling and setting it up.
- Will messages use up a lot of our message allowance?
- Messages you send proactively count toward your LINE Official Account plan's monthly allowance, while immediate replies to customer messages do not. We estimate your monthly volume from your order numbers and suggest a suitable plan; LINE's official site has the current plan details.
- What about other questions customers ask on LINE?
- Questions beyond order status can go to a person, or you can add LINE AI customer service to answer common questions from information you approve. We recommend leaving returns, refunds and complaints to a person, who sees the full conversation before replying.
- We already installed a LINE app for Shopify. Do we need this?
- Not necessarily. Ready-made apps fit standard messages; a custom n8n setup makes sense when you also need your CRM or warehouse system involved, or your messaging rules are unusual. We review your current setup before recommending anything.
- How long does it take to launch?
- A single workflow, such as shipping messages, usually takes 1–2 weeks. Linking, order and shipping messages and order lookup together usually take 3–6 weeks. Adding AI answers for general questions follows the standard LINE AI customer service build of about 4–6 weeks.
